Chavis Carousel House Construction Begins

The Chavis Carousel House construction project is well under way.

Today, the  building houses only construction equipment but, when completed, the carousel house will be the new setting for the historic Allen Herchell Carousel and Wurlizer 146A Band Organ.

Located in Chavis Park, the construction project also includes driveway and parking modifications, a new water line and new area lights around the building.  The building and the carousel are expected to open early next year.
