You can’t offer $350,000 on an appraised $2.4 million, even if they are only asking half that. That’s just not financially viable for the city.

However, I do think that Raleigh needs a place like this. An affordable residency for artists would really help the city. As “Uncle Jesse” said, ‘follow the artists and you’ll find the up-and-coming areas of the city’.

But this is clearly not the building if the offer is going to be this low.
